In furtherance of its mission, the foundation provides small grants ($250-$2000) to non-profit organizations and in some cases, individuals demonstrating need to improve future outcomes. ​

Examples of Eligible Grant Uses

​

🎓 Education & Enrichment

• Exam fees & prep courses (SAT, ACT, GRE, professional certification exams)

• School uniforms and required supplies for K-12 students in need

• Field trips and educational excursions that broaden exposure to STEM, history, or culture

• Tutoring or academic support services (especially in STEM and literacy)

💻 Technology & Access

• Wi-Fi hotspots or internet access support for students without reliable connections

• Assistive technology for students with disabilities (screen readers, adaptive keyboards, etc.)

• Software licenses for educational programs (coding platforms, design tools, math apps)

🌱 Personal Development & Life Skills

• Leadership development programs for youth or young adults

• College application or career readiness workshops (résumé prep, interview skills)

• Mental health and wellness programs supporting students’ resilience

• Mentoring program costs (e.g., training mentors, materials for sessions)

🎨 Creative & Community

• Arts education supplies (musical instruments, art kits, performance costs)

• Community service projects led by students (gardens, neighborhood clean-ups)

• Cultural exposure activities (museums, theater, heritage trips)

📑 Practical Supports

• Transportation stipends for students to attend camps, workshops, or courses

• Childcare support for student parents pursuing education

• Application fees for college, trade school, or specialized programs

This list is not exhaustive. We encourage applicants to share any need that helps improve educational, personal, or professional outcomes. Whenever possible, we intend to send the funds directly to the non-profit organization or school.

• June 1st -July 31st

Grant Application Requires:

1. Letter of Inquiry (LOI)​​​​

2. Applicant resume

3. Proposed budget for expenditure of potential grant funds.

4. Documentary proof of Non-Profit IRS tax-exempt status (if applicable)

5. Applicant Non-Profit prior year and current year to date balance sheet and income statement (if applicable)

 

Grant applications will be reviewed upon receipt of ALL materials requested above. All grant applications are subject to approval by the Foundation Board.
